I stayed at El Sunset for a quick overnight trip to Sayulita and the female dorm room was perfect for my needs. The spacious room had ample natural light and fresh air, with comfortable beds and individual fans. The outdoor terraces were a great place to relax and enjoy my morning coffee. I had a wonderful experience at El Sunset.
Totally recommend this hotel.

Hot showers with good pressure. Friendly and helpful owner who gave great tips for beaches, restaurants, and getting around. Nice building with potential.
Rooms were dirty and not well looked after. Doors didn't shut properly.

I felt right at home at El Sunset. Marco, the owner, greeted me by name and was incredibly friendly. The common areas were spacious and peaceful, providing a quiet escape from the bustling city. The location was convenient for accessing the beach and downtown area. Communication through WhatsApp made everything easy. The rooftop view was stunning, and the well-equipped kitchen was a bonus. Despite a few cleanliness issues and maintenance needs, I could see that improvements were being made. I would recommend this hostel for a laid-back stay in Puerto Vallarta.

Great location near trendy bars and good restaurants. Short walk to the beach and bus stop to nearby attractions.
Unclean facilities, including a dirty kitchen and stinky bathroom. Ants crawling on the bedsheets.

Charming!
There is a dog, although he is nice and very well behaved, as well as does not bark, just be careful not to leave food out!

The location was convenient, with a quiet beach just a few blocks away and various restaurants nearby. the hostel owner was friendly and made an effort to engage with guests.
